Deep Eddy Community Garden

Deep Eddy Community Garden is located near Deep Eddy Pool along the Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail. Deep Eddy Community Garden began under the jurisdiction of the Austin Nature and Science Center and now is an independent public garden under nonprofit sponsorship. The garden has a central location on parkland and wonderful river bottom sandy loam soil, and recently added a chicken coop as well. The Garden has been an active organic community garden for more than 40 years and some of the gardeners have been actively gardening at Deep Eddy since it was started.
