Consuelo Mendez STEM Academy Community Garden & Monarch Garden Dove Springs Project
The community garden’s focus is to help our community maintain physical health, mental health, and provide garden education resources. The primary need annually is labor which is all volunteers. We will work together to self-sustain the community garden using heirloom seeds when possible. We will also compost our waste to reduce costs such as fertilizer. The community garden plots are available upon request in which we will provide seeds that are in stock for individuals to get their veggie or fruit garden started. We also have fruit trees in the community garden that will need to be watered in the summers so our volunteers will be on a rotating schedule. Our pollinator garden is vital to our pollinators! We are always in search for pollinator heroes to support with the upkeeping to ensure our pollinator garden is a perfect habitat for our pollinator visitors year around.
