Clarksville Community Garden

The Clarksville Community Garden, an organic garden, is a project of the Clarksville community and the Clarksville Community Development Corporation and is located on a site leased by the CCDC from the Austin Parks Department. As part of the restoration and improvement of the Haskell House grounds, the Clarksville Community Garden was founded in the fall of 2004 with 23 plots as a cooperative effort of the City of Austin, American Youth Works, the Clarksville neighborhood association and residents. The garden was installed behind the house, on the same site where a neighborhood garden flourished decades ago.
