Katie’s Krops Garden ATX

Katie’s Krops is a youth based non-profit dedicated to empowering youth to build and maintain gardens of all sizes with the purpose of donating 100% of the produce grown to hunger relief organizations. The Katie’s Krops Gardens in Austin, TX serve local hunger relief organizations as well as provide produce donations directly to families in need. These gardens are not traditional community gardens, but serve more as service learning opportunities for youth. Volunteers are welcome to receive donations if they are in need of access to healthy food. Youth volunteers are encouraged to attend work days and assist with the planning of future crops, selecting recipients of the donations, and any special events. School related community service hours will be certified after participating in the garden.
