Emerald Wood Community Garden

Emerald Wood Community Garden was started in Fall 2014 on the City of Austin-owned Williamson Creek Central Greenbelt area. This area has been continually improved by Southwood Neighborhood Association since 2005 and originally began as a wildlife habitat area garden.   The garden incorporates native and useful wild plants, two existing butterfly gardens, and an extensive wildflower meadow. This garden has gone through a sunsetting process. The space is still open to the public and is part of the Tom Donovan Nature Trail.
