Hyde Park

Hyde Park Community Garden was begun December 7, 2008 on the grounds of Hyde Park Christian Church. Open to anyone in the community who wishes to cultivate organic produce, available space permitting, HP Community Garden is comprised of twenty-four 4×8-foot raised bed garden plots made by volunteers from Sustainable Food Center, HPCC, Christ Church and neighbors; from untreated lumber and GeoGrowers soil and compost.

As of March 2010 we are completely full, but if interested in awaiting a bed via HPCG’s waiting list, one should contact Susan Leibrock at susanl AT sustainablefoodcenter DOT org or 512.236.0074 ext. 111 and leave your contact information.

Future plans for Hyde Park Community Garden include raising funds for a tool shed, rainwater collection cistern and to have enough yield to share with friends and neighbors in need.
